Arwen (below) Since when is DUBAI, United Arab Emirates part of CNN? You are confusing Cheney's quote on CNN (link) with the Suicide bombings (link). Greetings.

Yeah..."they're on the run"..."in their last desperate days". I know because McCain said things are getting better in Iraq just this morning. So who you gonna believe Senator Wareagle or some independent study group in Dubai?

I liked the other report this week that said "twice as many American forces have been killed this year so far than Iraqi army forces even though the Iraqis are taking the lead in security operations". Wouldn't that suggest it's time to leave? Or should we "surge" some more targets over there for them?

At the height of the anti-war movement in this country, the North Viet Namese embarked on a mission of eminent military defeat, knowing full well it would be a tremendous psychological victory for them in a war weary America. The plan worked perfectly.
Do you not think the terrorists know of the increasing support they receive from the left in this country every time they jack up the violence in Iraq?
Perhaps we should take a lesson from history and support America's effects in the Middle East a little more instead of being afraid to stand up and fight against a demented ideology of hatred, domination, terror and indiscriminate murder.

Well this os one thing the bushies failed to realize about Islam and waging war against Muslims. They will never stop till their enemies stop attacking them. When muslims fight it is in reaction. always reaction. most people ( especially americans) are too lazy and self rightious to find out what started it all.

So no.. the " Freedom Fighters" are not in their last throes.
There are over a billion Muslims in the world so you have a long fight against you.

Wow - no reduction in coalition deaths, an increase in suicide bombings, and the insurgents are fielding chlorine gas bombs now. The "Lurch" is working so very well Mr President....

Unemployment is like 40%. What else is there to do for a healthy young man but to seek the virgins he is promised.

Yes they are again in their last throes. I think they are angry because we keep rejecting all the flowers and candy they tried to greet us with. Its a vicious cycle.

It takes awhile to convince someone to blow himself up for the glory of whatever. First they have to find a bunch of really gullible fanatics looking for a high speed ticket to paradise.

It's the raw fear of the Bush "Stay the Course" Battle plan that causes then to be so insurgent.

It has nothing to do with foreign fighters kicking in your moms door.
