i say don nelson. he has done everything except win a ring. he has the 2nd most victories in history. he has i believe 3 coach of the years. he turned a sh1tty @ss dallas franchise around and traded for dirk nowitzki. he is the father of smallball and is an offensive genius who exploits mismatches and uses the players' strengths rather than weaknesses.
example: this years warriors team. none are great defenders but rather than forcing them to play traditional D, nelly uses the strength of the warriors team, speed and quickness and athleticism, to annoy opponents, which results in steals and deflections and bad passes. the warriors lead the league in steals, i think forced TOs, and pts off TOs.

With the way the Mav's are playing, if Avery Johnson doesn't win a title with them this year, it won't look good for him. I agree with the whole Flip Saunders thing too.
