when you go to divide a fraction, just multiply by the opposite.
for example:
(1/2)/(3/4)
just do
(1/2)*(4/3)
and voila you have divided fractions!

Evaluate 3 3/4 divided by 2 1/5.
Convert both numbers to improper fractions (unless they are fractions only):
3 3/4 = (3 * 4 + 3) / 4 = 15 / 4.
2 1/5 = (2 * 5 + 1) / 5 = 11/ 5.
Turn second fraction upside down:
11 / 5 becomes 5 / 11.
You now have 15 / 4 and 5 / 11.
Multiply numerators together: 15 * 5 = 75 to get numerator in answer.
Multiply denominators together: 4 * 11 = 44 to get denominator in answer.
The answer is therefore 75 / 44.
If this is not in its lowest terms, reduce it down as far as possible by dividing numerator and denominator by the same number(s). Nothing to do in this example.
As this is an improper fraction (numerator greater than denominator), divide denominator into numerator to find the whole number part, and leave the remainder from the division over the denominator to give the end result 1 31/44.
In short, make all the numbers fractions, turn the second one upside down, and multiply instead of dividing.

When you are dividing fractions ,the one important thing ro remember is that you have to invert the second fraction and multiply.
EXAMPLE
3/4 divided by 1/6 would be changed to 3/4 x 6/1=18/4 reduced to 9/2.

You divide fractions by multiplying by the reciprocal.
Ex:
(a/b) divided by (c/d)
= (a/b) times (d/c) = (ad)/(bc)

For example:
2/3 divided by 4/6
You have to change to multiplication and change the sign to its reciprocal.
So:
2/3 multiplied by 6/4
Then multiply across.
12/12
The answer is one.
