The sock might work, but if you really want to get the point across, then maybe you & your friends could start singing something else at the top of your lungs in a different genre designed to annoy while you block out the noise being made by the diva soloist. *shrug* It's a possibility anyway....maybe go with a show tune or something, get everyone else in on the act too.....hhhhmmm....
