Well, aren't you glad your mom wouldn't agree with this question.

It's clearly to do with love, watch a mother with her young baby.
A desire to give and receive love.
It seems to be a need of most women, part of our instinct.
In the poorest countries, where they can hardly afford to live, they have more children than in rich countries, and they as individuals have less chance of survival.
I don't want to bring a child into the world, I couldn't guarantee its happiness.
Disregard everything I said above, I misread your question, the reason people choose to have kids, is so that the nanny will produce milk, and some of the kids will grow up to be nannys the males can be used to get the nanny's pregnant, again to produce milk.
How could I possibly have thought you said children, sorry.

I have no idea i have one would not be without her now but i did not willingly choose to have her, there are alot of circumstances surrounding my having a kid. They are a financial burden for the rest of your life and a constant worry and form of stress from the moment they are born till the day YOU die!

I couldn't tell you why people have kids. I couldn't imagine having a rug monkey running around. Egads, I cringe at the thought. IMO, children are the worst things ever. I'd rather have a poo flinging monkey than a child. Oh wait. Aren't they the same thing?
And before I get a bunch of "thumbs down" this is just MY opinion and pertains only to me.

Because some people genuinely really want to have children! Me personally.... no way on Earth! I love other people's kids, but glad I can give them back at the end of the day!

Hi. I willingly had 4 children. My husband and I wanted to be parents.
~My friend has 8 and is pregnant with #9. Her husband would like 10.
~"Nightmare" children come from "nightmare" parents.
~I am guessing you dont have kids, and you are young. I am also guessing you dont spend alot of time with children.
~♥~ Children are a gift from God

Aren't they just ,but now my future is here I would put my life on the line for all of them. Also I believe that the world will benefit from my kids as they will have the strong beliefs that I have and will some day be in the position to use them.(an animal lover and conservationist)

I don't have kids because I am not a goat, I have 4 wonderful children who are great.
No wonder you are against kids, they do not understand right or wrong, are playful and disobedient, but children are taught to follow rules so are much more delightful to have than kids.
Next time try having children.

Me and my partner made a conscious decision NOT to have children. The thing is, anyone with kids will say it was the best thing that happened to them- what else can they say! Personal choice at the end of the day - although I do hate it when (usually mothers) say, oh, you don't know what you are missing - ahhhhhhhhhhh!
