I was pushing on the gas an my truck wont go any faster down the highway then 50

Did it just start doing this "out of the blue".

You need to get your exhaust system checked out. There is something clogging your exhaust. It could very well be your catalytic converter. If your catalytic converter is shot, it may be in pieces clogging up your pipes. To tell if your catalytic is functioning properly, get under your vehicle and tap it a couple of times. If you hear noise, or if your exhaust smells like sulfur (rotten eggs); you definitely need a new catalytic converter. In short, your car cannot breath. Check into a clean air filter as well.

If you did not do a tune-up, your plugs may be shot and a new oxygen sensor may also be needed. The oxygen sensor should be changed every 90K miles for getting the best performance out of your vehicle; your gas mileage will improve as well.

Be a little more descriptive, I know a few people who have air-cooled Volkswagens who would be glad if their trucks made it up to 50.

Sounds like you need to change the fuel filter or pump.
or...
disengage the parking brake ;)
