1) What is the capital of the country on the southwest coast of the Red Sea?

2)Does Buenos aires, Argentina, lie along the mouth or source of the Parana river? (is it the mouth?)

3) What is the capital of the country that occupies the eastern half of the island of New Guinea?

4) Which state is the widest?

4) Alaska (Texas is the widest in the lower 48)

1) Eritrea is on the SW coast of the red sea. Capital: Asmara

2) the mouth. It is on the coast, not inland.

3)Papua New Guinea

4) many countries have states. which country? of the states in the USA, I'd go with Texas or Montana

(The sixth grade answerer is looking at avery old map. Ethiopia has been landlocked ever since Eritrea split off from it years ago. Eritrea took the part by the red sea.)

these are all facts that can be easily gotten by looking at a map. you can find maps on the internet just as easily as you can type in your question on yahoo! answers.

btw, remember that the source of a river is way inland and upland, where the streams come together to form the river. The mouth of the river is at or near the coast.

i can only answer number one but it's either Djibouti,Addis Ababa or Khartoum. i am only a 6th grader but looking at the atlas and knowing a lot about geography i would say the best answer to #1 is Addis Ababa
