Seperate vacations are cool!! We do it once a year, but I don't cheat and I'm sure he doesn't, after 11 years of marriage.
We have sepearte tastes in travel (I love Europe and he likes surf adventures) and I think it's a really healthy thing, and helps cement your own identity. I usually take a girl friend and have some really fun memories from these trips.
At the moment I'd go to Tokyo. I want to, but know my husband has no interest.
Then I come home, we pop some tops and share pictures and stories.

I would not want my husband to vacation without me. That is a sign that the relationship is in trouble. Plus I do it all for my husband so he has no need to seek outside help. And if he does Trust me I would have been the one to bring it up and would actively participate. Your wife should be a little more open minded before you go out and find some else who is.

It would depend on how long we've been together. if it was 1-5 years, i think i would be sad to be away that long from him. if it were 6-10 years I would be more open. If it were 11+ years I would help him pack and I would be off to Hawaii......

me and my fiancee do it every year(we have been together almost 4 years)...It's healthy for a relationship and we so appreciate each other more when we come home to each other...I stayed home with the kids(ages 9 yrs old and 13 months old) and he goes off with his buddies on their boats for a few days...last year they went to the bahammas....then me , my dad and my daughter went to the bahammas on an actual cruise ship. Thsi year i am going to boston and i have no idea where he is planning to go

That's not a healthy relationship..that's an ended relationship. Don't fake it...you both are unhappy and cheating anyway..just work it out or let go.. It's so crazy how you even think about where you're going...

I already do that. I love my Harley and going to Laconia, or Daytona bike weeks. My old doeesn't. She likes to fly to Florida, I don't. So I go on my trip/s with my Harley and she stays home. She goes to Florida by plane and I stay home. It works for us.

id be all over it, dont mean there would be anything going on, but it would be an opportunity for you each to have time either alone or with friends. aint nothing wrong with that!
