At the moment you have no basis for relationship, because it would appear neither of you know each other. Everything is just a game, or an act.
If you have feelings for your boyfriend then it is time to stop the games, & talk to each other like adults. Only when you do this will you find out about whether you have the basis for a relationship, or if your boyfriend is interested in the chase.
When this happens will you know if you have a future together.

Thrill of the chase and nothing more.
The whole playing hard to get is old school, most confident women don't need to play games like that. It's mostly young girls and immature women who find it necessary. Strong confident men will just pass those girls by on the way to better ones.

When you begin your query by an indication that you're :"PLAYING" hard-to-get, it doesn't sound like you want a "GOOD BASIS" for a serious relationship...when you're mature enough to not resort to Game-Playing, and you have open and honest communication with a mature partner ---and you want the same things and you're on the same time-clock...then you may have what you want...but you can't Manipulate people into being what you want them to be...it blows up in your face and turns out negative...try Honesty and Patience...and sometimes, in being honest with Yourself...you just have to cut your losses and move on...There's someone for you...the RIGHT someone...you've got to Start by Believing that's true.....Good Luck~

I think men naturally like the thrill of the chase it's in their instincts and they do get bored if you give in too easy to them. I think this is valid with regards to men of any age. I read in a relationship book that even when you're married you should play hard to get with your husband and he will appreciate you a lot more.

As long as you don't make yourself so hard to get that he gives up and goes after an easier option.
