You will never be able to live this moment again so make it good.

I try to get through life and have fun. It sounds old and stupid but that's all i want to do is have fun! Hating people is a waste of time. Life is too short and valuable to waste. I like to go out, get faded, and enjoy the company of others.

-For a person in any type of relationship- don't go to bed without having talked to the person you are angry with. You can go to bed angry, as long as you- and the other person- understand WHY you are upset. Then you spend the evening trying to overcome your anger and working towards a solution.
-Don't give violence for violence.
-Love all- especially your enemies.
-Life is what it is, but if you accept that, you can change it, and make it better.
-The opinions of others about you do not matter. Only your opinion of yourself matters. However, when someone loves you, their opinion is greater than your own.
-Don't cheat- on homehork, on tests, on your Significant Other. Ever!
-Live like you will die tomorrow, love like you will live forever.
-Don't fear. Explore, attempt, try... LIVE.

I like this from Richard Bach's 'Illusions: Adventures of a reluctant Messiah"

26. And [the Messiah] said unto them, "If a man told God that he wanted most of all to help the suffering world, no matter the price to himself, and God answered and told him what he must do, should the man do as he is told?"

27. "Of course, Master!" cried the many. "It should be pleasure for him to suffer the tortures of hell itself, should God ask it!"

28. "No matter what those tortures, no matter how difficult the task?"

29. "Honor to be hanged, glory to be nailed to a tree and burned, if so be that God has asked," said they.

30. "And what would you do," the Master said unto the multitude, "if God spoke directly to your face and said, 'I COMMAND THAT YOU BE HAPPY IN THE WORLD, AS LONG AS YOU LIVE.' What would you do then?"

31. And the multitude was silent, not a voice, not a sound was heard upon the hillsides, across the valleys where they stood

and

"There is a divine conspiracy of the entire universe to help each of us find, develop and express our own truth. Each of us individually is as qualified as any one ever was or ever will be, to unravel the mysteries of life. This conspiracy waits patiently for you the subject, to step forward and identify yourself as the commander, to stop laying yourself before servants, and accepting the second hand experiences of others as the spiritual truth and fire of your own being." which is a response to Ricahrd Bach's life by someone called Chuck.

I like your positive thoughts as i can be a bit negative (maybe its realism) at times but for all the people that say" enjoy every moment blah blah" what a load of rubbish! how can you possibly enjoy every moment? Oh wow a root canal? I'd love too! What 5 years in Guantanamo bay.....fantastic! Oh boy a glass in the face from the nutter in the corner of the pub, an absolute pleasure..............come on.

Above all:"I think I can,I think I can..."Other than that,it's live life with a sense of humor.That's the only thing philisophical inquiry can't take away from us.Do unto others is another one.Last but not least,always look at things with a skeptical eye...even your own ideals.

You've pretty much answered your own question! :-) All good stuff!

I let my own life sort of unfold from moment to moment. I work with not letting negative thoughts take root...causing unnecessary suffering. I walk through life with a sort of "affectionate awareness" toward others. I step lightly around the "ugly things" in life.

I use MODERATION in most areas...except for chocolate...Easter is coming...chocolate eggs! Yum!

It was: if all is not lost, I'd sure like to know where it is. Nowadays, it appears to be more along the lines of since I started out with nothing I'm really grateful I still have most of it now.

"YOU CAN ALWAYS DO MORE..."

This credo came from a speech teacher that I had in high school. I have applied it in all aspects of my life, and have made mediocrity a thing of the past. I never have achieved absolute perfection, but I come closer than I ever would by applying that phraze to my work.

you sound like an interesting person. here's some of mine:
never spend money you don't actually have;
lend money or give it, the cost is the same;
do it right, and do it once;
treat others as you'd have them treat you;
always open the window before you spit.
never argue with a know-it-all, its a waste of time
