Pride left a long time ago, unfortunately and it's sad.

Now that it's such a "dog-eat-dog" world people don't care about anyone but themselves.

People hate the military for no aparent reason which is the one thing that founded this great country of ours. The worse the military looks in people's eyes, the less people care about the country as the two go hand-in-hand. Vision of military, reception of country.

When September 11, 2001 happened you saw patriotism. For six months. People hanging flags on their houses and on their cars and putting yellow ribbons all over and ever sticking them on their cars. Then people started forgetting and those stickers on our cars are pure white leaving no real visible color since it's been there so long. You only know what it is because it's the shape of a flag or a ribbon. The wars that it spawned are shamed by the people who demanded them. People think we're safe when we aren't. When it takes a true presence of force over seas to keep us safe here in the USA.

Honestly, the way the media treats war and turns people against it, and the more they report how people hate us, the less people here will care about our own country thus we turn back on each other in the workforce and mix into the nasty culture of dog-eat-dog.

I was born here. I work here. I have lived around the world and seen many places.

I am proud of my country of birth. I am concerned about the current "You're either with us or against us." mentality.

Everything is not black and white. There is so much grey to be considered. Unfortunately, there is no completely right or wrong in current conflicts either.

We were given a brain to reason with. Ask the questions. Weigh the answers and come up with your own analysis. Please don't follow blindly behind any leader that says they are the ONLY right way.

Live and let live, but defend those that are unable to defend themselves.

Pride comes with knowing you have done what is right and good. Not by just believing that you are the strongest.

Having been born in a free country, many do not appreciate what they have. Ask anyone who was born in any other country why they came here and they will spend hours telling you.

I've seen the real world. The truth is that most of the citizens of the world live dark, hopeless, spiritless and empty lives.

Tommorrow can be a better day in America. The same cannot be said about most other countries. No complaints from me.

Some of us still have it. But, try to tell that to anyone, or try to stick up for common sense or traditional values, and you're labled a Nazi, Neocon, eliteist, racist, arrogant, close-minded, etc. I live on a street with 40+homes, an ours is the only one with a flag. Its sad.

I beg to differ with MMA fan.

It's the "don't judge people, live and let live, feminist, liberal thinkers" that are the down fall of this country. The baby boomers fought against the moral fiber and have made the USA the way it is today. I love it how it's the same people who made all the streams and air polluted who preached free love and no war in the 60's and 70's that are now putting the fear into people with global warming...such hypocrites..they couldn't even get marijuana legalized ....and that was 1st on their LIST!!!!

It's people putting their partisan stereotypes first. You're more interested in being right and forcing your views onto others.

Who is offended by hanging the flag in public?? That's news to me.

Also, I don't think people are offended by prayer in public places... I think it's that some people don't want to be forced to pray (i.e. in school - since not everyone is Christian...). As long as you're not forcing people to do it, I don't think anyone's offended... That's just one of the many things that makes this the greatest country - freedom of religion, including choosing to not be religious!

Some of us are still proud to be Americans!
Personal responsibility is something that has been forgotten and that is the only thing that I can think of to really help!

MMA, you are blind. It's the ACLU destroying the majority of what made America great. We are a religiously based government, like or not, ALL our founders were Christian and the Ten Commandments should be proudly displayed at every courthouse. Idiots like you burn the American Flag and soldiers in effigy then claim you support our troops, I SPIT ON YOU, LIBERAL..........

People like chicken phuker have turned the US into a living hell. They don't want anything to do with America. They want to take it over and use it for their own personal gain.
