The least amount of time a baby has ever spent in the womb and survived is 21 weeks 5 (or maybe its 6) days. Generally, the age of viability is said to be 24 weeks.
Edit:
Just checked it was 21 weeks 6 days. Here's a link to an article about the baby http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article1411793.ece

My nephew Hunter was born 10 1/2 weeks early. He weighed 3.45 pounds. He is now a perfectly healthy 8 year old, although he spent time in the hospital's neo-natal ICU when he is first born. Whether a child will survive depends on how well that child has developed and how they respond to treatments.
Many countries have limited care to babies 24 weeks or older due to the high mortality rate of younger babies as well as much higher risks of birth defects, disabilities or cerebral palsy. The vast majority of infants that are treated at a lower gestational age do die, either immediately or whithin a few years. "Bliss, the premature baby charity, says about 50 babies born at 23 weeks survive every year", but that is ONLY 50 babies.
So yes, a baby can live when delivered at 6 months. A few have lived born even a week or two earlier.

Yes. I just read an article where a baby was born at about 20 weeks and is doing well enough to go home.

yes, my cousin was born at 7 months-and now she's a healthy almost 5 yr old. They will spend a lot of time at the hospital at first but with good care they can live a long healthy life.

I take it you mean after six months' gestation ....
Some do. And for many (though not most) it presents a dreadful struggle both immediately after birth and in later life. Naturally we tend to focus on those who survived and were pretty intact, but for every one that does there's a huge number that face a very difficult time and perhaps permanent damage. So much depends on the individual case.

Yes they can survive, they just face more challenges in the first few months than a baby who is born full term.

They can live but its a hard road for a parent to take..the babies have a lot of ups and downs and sometimes they are delayed in motor skills or have to have major surgeries.
