the brown album, had a really dark and hollow sound to it. might because for the drum tracks they placed mics around the entire room to capture Bryan "Brain" Mantia's unbelievably talented drumming.
Larry LaLonde is an awesome guitarist whose best work is attributed to this album. his guitar solos go against every musically trained person's instincts using some very unusual but very interesting sounding techniques.
nothing can be said about Les Claypool that hasn't already been said before
