Lawrence Welk did the Big Band shows on PBS stations back in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s. Big Band musician and conductor.

Lawrence Welk (Hands down). Heard his band's music many, many years ago as a young woman on TV (yes, before Color TVs became popular), and it was always good. He did a lot of the Big Band sounds (as well as popular music), and had various quartets, and signing groups present pieces in costumes .. Quite entertaining actually.
