When a woman is pregnant, she has the right to choose whether to become a mother, regardless of what the man wants. A man should be afforded the same right.

Yes he should have to pay. He helped createe the fetus. He contributed at least half to get the girl pregnant. Even if he doesn't want the baby, he did still help to creat it. Whenever a couple has intercourse they know that it is possible the gal can become pregnant. If you aren't ready for the consequences then do not have sex. If she also wants an abortion, yes he should pay half at least. He isn't the one who has to live with the trauma that having an abortion could cause. This is just so debatable for each side. One could go on for a long time.

Depends on what happens after the baby is born....If he does not want anything to do with the child, then yes he must pay. Unless you sign an agreement with him releasing him as the father ( I would not suggest that). If he wants SHARED custody and he has the child half of the time, then he will not pay child support if his salary is close to yours. If he makes ALOT more than you, he will have to pay some. There is alot of custody laws in different states. But him asking you to have an abortion does not matter.

YES! Oh my goodness. Any time two people have sex, they know there is a chance the woman could get pregnant, whether they use a condom or not. No man has the right to ASK a woman to have an abortion. It is an extrememly painful procdure that she will remember, and probably regret, for the rest of her life. Why would he rather kill his own flesh and blood rather than pay a few hundred dollars a month? That baby deserves a life, just like he does.

Yes he should, he was perfectly happy to get his leg over, so he should have to face the consequences of carelessness. Why should a woman just have her baby taken away just because the man cant face his responsibilities? Men sicken me when they do that - id like to see him carry a child, even for a week, then be expected to kill it just because some self-centered idiot cant face reality.
BTW im not against abortion, i just dont think anyone has the right to tell a woman what to do with her own body.

YES absolutely. If he got her pregnant he should definately pay child support. Birth control should have been used if he didnt want a child. It is as much the mans responsibility as it is the womans.

Of course he should pay! The baby was conceived with two people's permission. Just because one wants to have an abortion doesn't mean the other one does. He fathered the baby, now he pays for the baby.

I am not going to judge any one on their views on abortion, but congrats to you for giving this baby a chance.

Huh? Should a man have to pay for an abortion? Yes, at least half. Should he have to pay child support if she had the baby...yes. I don't understand what exactly you're asking.

Yes! He is still the child's father, he should pay to contribute to the raising and caring for that child. It's a risk he took when he slept with you. That's why there is a whole court system for child support - Friend of the Court....he needs to pay his fair share!
