Hey--
I'm going to NYC within the new few days, and I really need to find & buy a Rainbow/ Gay Pride flag ASAP. I'm sure there's got to be plenty of places in Greenwich Village, at least, where I can buy one, but I don't know where.
Any ideas/ suggestions?

There's actually a street, and I'm NOT kidding, called Gay Street. You can find it by taking the 1 or 9 train to Christopher Street and walk west. My instinct is to say Chelsea, but it has become very upscale and I don't know of any stores that would have what you are looking for. Good luck!

Try the shops on 8th St. in the Village between Fifth & Sixth Aves.
There are a lot of funky shops that sell T-shirts, flags, caps, tats
