I know the one you want; I just can’t remember his name! There was a kid, his ‘super power’ was being ale to read, write and do math – all at once! I saw him on Toonopedia, and now I don’t recall the name. IIRC, he hired himself out to solve problems for other kids, maybe do their homework, oslt.

There’s also Jason, from Foxtrot, who read all his textbooks (twice) on the first night after school and then doesn’t have to study any more that year.

You mean, as in being of the age 12-18, in school?

Isn't that, like ALL Japanese anime? ;)

I find one that is good is from the series, Read or Die. Yomiko Readman. Its all about libraries and such from a fictitious future.

There's Dexter of course, but I think he's supposed to be more around 1st through 3rd grade, at least that's my impression.

Full Metal Panic is a great anime, combining unrequited romance, humour, and school drama intertwined with mecha! W00T! While it may be difficult to identify with Sagara (who is actually an undercover paramilitary type guy) there are various other characters, female mainly, whom one could identify with.
