Mom always said "Be careful what you wish for".
We always seem to think thing will be better "IF", and when we wish for something, we don't usually take into consideration what will happen in the long run or to whom. When we wish, we are usually wishing for something instantaneous which comes back to bite us in the long run. Moral of the story is, it is OK to wish for something and work towards that goal, but be thankful for what you have now.

Are you talking about one of those situations like "jumping from the skillet into the fire"? I've done it several times. We have to live with our decisions, whether we make good or bad ones. When we make a decision that doesn't work for us, then we have to re-vamp the program and try to fix our mistake and move on.
