You don't say from where. I have been checking prices from Sacramento to Las Vegas and found that US Air offered the lowest fares for direct flights.

You give it search parameters (airports/dates and if you're willing to check surrounding airports) and it searches all published fares and links you to the cheapest one - be it on a specific airline's site or orbitz or something else. I've done this and actually scored cheaper thru the link it gives.
