I haven't, but my friend had some bleeding and is in labor today.
She had a hematoma, more of a bleeding inside the tummy and some comes out. I don't know all the details, but she had pain too. She had bleeding at the beginning of her preg and lots of hematomas have premature labor at 20-24 weeks.
Her drs were a little confusing so she saw a specialist and was really careful her pregnancy. She really had to decide for herself what kind of bedrest to do and when to stop. She did full bed rest for a lot of weeks, then modified a little, and then after the specialist said she was good to be active again she tried to go back to "normal" at that point it was exhausting and the muscles were mush from all the rest, but she is being induced today at 38wks and everything looks just fine.
Drs can be fustrating, I had preeclampsia and ended up medivac after my hubby threatened my drs life. Good thing to b/c the neonatologist said I should have been sent there weeks ago. Always try a second opinion.
Pregnancy is a big mystery too, so keep trying with the dr.s and get second opinions. I have heard of periods even during the early stages of pregnancy.
Hope everything works out well for you. Remember stress isn't so great either.

I was a month along when it happened and they did an ultrasound and found a void where the baby was, and they decided instead of doing a D and C they were gonna let me bleed out. so for a week I had to watch a pad catch my baby, it started slow like yours but got worse and worse, i drank for the next two months not heavily or anything but its hard to lose a baby, I noticed that I wasn't having period and went to the doctor and was 3 months pregnant. The Dr didn't look around in the ultrasound and stopped looking after he found the void, he didn't notice that I was carrying another baby that was alive still. So it turned out that it was a good thing that they didn't do a D and C, because that would have also sucked out my baby that was still living. and now she is 8 months old and very smart and healthy she is way ahead of her learning schedule and me drinking didn't hurt her thank God

First off, I am glad your little one is hanging in there!
Second, I know exactly what you mean by the doctors not knowing anything! I had the exact same problem during my pregnancies with my sons. It happened throughout my pregnancies. They put me on bed rest for most of the pregnancies, but I did give birth to two beautiful baby boys. They are both fine (one is 11 years and the other is 7). I am now pregnant with our third, but prior to undergoing the invitro fertilisation procedure to get that way, I was tested for genetic abnormalities. It turned out I have a blood clotting disorder that causes my blood to clot easily and pregnancy is know to make it worse. I am being treated for the disorder and have not had any problems with this pregnancy. Hopefully your episode is over, but if not, just rest as much as possible. Depending on how far along you are, you have a better chance of maintaining the pregancy once you have passed the 20 week mark.
Good Luck!

Have you had a ultrasound prior to this? If not you may have been pregnant with twins and lost one. This happened to a friend of mine, the remaining baby has turn out just fine. I have 4 children and bleed w/ 3 (they are all fine) although this is not normal it sometimes happens as the embryo attaches to the uterine wall. I have had 4 miscarriages the bleeding varies on how far along you are. With tissue discharge, I have never had an ultra sound see any sign of a baby much less a heart beat . If you are still concerned get an HCG quantity test done. It's numbers dropping will confirm a problem, rising confirms growth. My heart goes out to you.

Calm down. I went thru that when I was pregnant with my son. When I was 3 months pregnant, I had bright, red, clotty blood worse than any period. No pain. I bled for a few days. When I went to the doctor, they let me know I probably had a miscarriage without coming out and saying it. They did some tests for two days and ended up everything was fine. Stayed on bed rest until the bleeding stopped, then I didn't have any more problems thru my pregnancy. Actually, I had a great pregnancy and delivery.
Good luck - stress can only make it worse.

It would seem to me that you did miscarriage. I dont know how far along you are, so, you probely had not had an ultrasound yet. I have seen patients have a miscarriage of one twin, while the other was perfectly fine. It can be hard in the first few months, even weeks, when there has been no reason for an ultrasound.
I am sure your doctor has given you strict follow up instructions and aftercare. Follow them fully! I wish you luck!!

I too haven't heard of anything like that and just wanted to wish you luck. With regards to that numpty, Nancy whatever her name is, don't worry, and don't feel embarrassed about asking , we are all (most of us), supportive and willing to try and help out when we can. WE didn't ask for her to answer, she just either wants points or just wants to cause trouble.
Good luck and do tell us how you get on. I'm sure everything will be just fine....P.s, I thought the medical student would have been able to spell gynaecologist?
