Yes! You should read a book by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. She has this new book out Natural Born Charmer. It's wonderful. Nora Roberts is also great.

if you are looking for a girly fast-read the following are terrific and most come in a series:
the princess diaries series
the sisterhood of the traveling pants series
the mediator series(sounds weird but is SO good!!!)
if you are looking for more of a boyish fantasy type book:
alex rider series
artemis fowl series
among the impostors (good!!)
the giver
and if you want to read the best book you will EVER read in your entire life read TWILIGHT!!!!!!!! i have never heard of ANYONE who disliked it, boy or girl!!!!! it is fantastic!!!! but dont read the back cover or it gives the book away!!! it would sound weird if i told you wat it was about but trust me it is phenomenal, and i have never said that about a book. and it has a sequal called new moon and they are thinking of coming out with the movie!!!
