How many NSX's are still on the road? Www.nsxprime.com has stats on just how many were manufactured; but I was wondering how many are still "intact"...

From what I understand, between 1991 and 1998, there were only 7,400 TOTAL sold in the US. How much more rare have they become?...especially the early models. And even more particularly the '94 model that had significant upgrades to the '91-'93's and when the hardtop was still available.

Yes they will be classics; when they reach the national average for antique/collectible/classic car status which is about 30 years of age; so in 2036 you'll have all the NSXs in classic status. But by then I'm reassured that the NSX will be reproduced in a different body and possibly a different engine set up and name. Rumors are going around for a V8 and AWD.
That's supercar standard now.
When it comes to NSXs being intact you can subtract about 20% from the original production numbers. A reasonable number when you consider that some of these were raced, wrecked, stolen, etc. Did anybody even consider the Alex Zanardi editions of the NSX though? Or the race only production bodies? Of course globaly the NSX has a larger number of bretheren compared to the US. So I doubt this car will disappear from the auto world's memory.

Well it really reinvented the sports car by allot of notable sources.. They were very reliable, excellent handling, great performance, lightweight and budget exotics to many! Since they were 2nd cars for many, there should be still many on the road today... The Acura NSX is future classic in my book!

It has a unique position in the class of exotic performance cars.

It is powerful, easy to drive and maintain, and is relatively affordable.

Just add oil changes and regular tire changes and it keeps on going.

Perhaps not a classic car in the traditional definition, but a worthy car to have in your garage.

That can't be determined for another 10-20 years down the road.
Your 1918 to 1940s are just becoming "CLassic"

I suppose in 15 years maybe.
Datsun has a "2000 Roadster" from years back that is considered a classic, so, someday, .....maybe.
But not in my book.
