Good, while I may not agree with some of their causes they protect the Constitution and that to me is much more important then any political or religious agenda that I might have. We must put the good of the country ahead of our own good sometimes. .

First, let me say that Josh is an idiot and the biggest bigot on the forum.

To answer your question: that depends on whether or not you're a minority or someone with an axe to grind against "big government."

I believe at one time the ACLU had a legitimate purpose and served a needed function, but their existence and purpose now has been perverted to the point where I feel their organization does more to erode human rights and the US Constitution than it does anything else. Seems like all they defend nowadays are nutjobs with a grudge.

It is good. It is meant to protect the rights of all people. Some have a problem with that. When they represented the Neo-Nazis the ACLU was hated. But their principle is that the law protects everyone and everyone has the right to freedom of speech. People like Rush Limbaugh constantly belittle the ACLU but he was very happy when they came to protect him.

Josh: I've seen your answers many times on here and you always accuse others of being stupid or bigotted or other names when they don't agree with your socialistic views.

Well, someone needs to tell you that you are one of the biggest bigots on here.

You're answers always contain an element of intellectual elitism where you sit back and take pot shots at other people in the safty of your anonymity.

You may be genuine in your beliefs, but you are intolerant and closed minded.

Report me if you want to, it won't change the truth of what I say though.

ACLU was founded by communists to prove our democracy doesn't work. I think they're doing a good job of that.

hum, the American Civil Liberties Union, purpose: questioning any law or action that may be violating the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I get a much better feeling about them than the Dept. of Homeland Security.
I'm saying "Good"

If I could create a law for the betterment of the world, I would outlaw these communists.

Bad.

They have a good idea (protecting our constitutional rights), however they have sunk too low. Now they just represent criminals and child molesters.

If they go back to representing free speech, instead of criminals, they would be a good organization.

They should be charged under the RICO statutes and their assets siezed. They have done more harm to this country's freedom than any of our enemies could have dreamed of.

They had good purpose in the early days, now they're just a pain in the a**, finding anything in the world to fight about so that they can justify their existence.
