It means your baby is active! Mine is that way. In the hospital, they couldn't find the heartbeat for more than 3 secs at a time. But it was there! Best of luck with your busy little bee!

I'm 23 weeks now. Had an appt. last week. It was a little difficult for the doctor to find the actual heartbeat because my baby girl was moving around so much. You could hear her moving though, then the doctor finally picked up the steady heartbeat. I just don't think she likes the whole doppler thing. She kicked so hard my belly jumped. I think the doctor may have pissed her off.

I've been pregnant three times and every so often it would be difficult for the midwife to locate the baby, especially earlier in the pregnancy when the baby has lots of room to move around.

It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

I think sometimes the baby moves after they find the heartbeat because the baby can sense someone is disturbing the peace. LOL

Yeah at 24 weeks it was still a little difficult for the nurse to find the heartbeat. My darn little one just likes to move around too much! The u/s tech also had problems getting a clear shot - every time we'd zero in on the little bugger s/he would quick move around. Quite an active one!

I'm not worried about it because I feel the kicks adn my doctor isn't worried about it. Some babies are just more active and move around more making it difficult for the sound waves to bounce back to you.

That is OK. Baby's move and they sometimes move a lot. It is OK. Take the moving a lot as a good sign. Long as it is moving then you are OK. Don't worry or stress your self out cause it will slow things down and make your situation worse then it is.

at 24 weeks along there shouldnt be a problem with FINDING a heart beat ( unless you are overwieght cause then there is more tissue that can block sound ) but your doctor should have ordered an ultrasound imediatly, sometimes dopplers dont work as well. But if your doctor isnt worried you shouldnt be either. good luck!

If the baby is moving dont worry about it! The littler the baby is the harder it is going to be to find the heart beat!!

I am 15 weeks and it ook her a little while to get a good read on it. It happens. As long as you feel the baby moving everything is fine :)

I have three children and I am sure that it happened at least twice with each of them. Some days they just don't want you poking at them. I am sure the baby is fine. Relax and try not to think to much about it.
