Why most of women dont understand or appreciate the value of vintage and classic cars, like if you want to restore one at home and your wife is daily complaining abut it beaing around and asking you to get rid of it and telling you instead of wasting money on your project buy a new car? why they dont understand for example the diffrence between an old great classic pontiac 1970 firebird and a new 2007 Toyota Yaris? my wife openion is the Yaris worth the money you pay and is the real car and the Firebird is a piece of junk, I wonder ???

Whenwas the last time you saw a real man say "Oh my, look at those shoes, I've just got to have them".

Same theory.

The problem with your question is that it cannot be determined by the sex or gender of a person. I know plenty of women who like cars, and a few of them drag race.

What it comes down to is either you're a car guy/gal or you're not. So your answer is like any other hobby - maybe I don't understand Beanie Babies, but some people are into it. For many, though, cars are just toasters on wheels.

Most likely because cars to them are nothing more than transportation. When women shop for cars their not looking at HP and engine size, their looking at makeup mirrors, seat warmers and all the little bells and whistles.

It's all perception, what you view as important is different than what she will view. She, most likely, knows the value of clothes, and shoes and such while you know very little; "a shirt is a shirt". I am fortunate to have someone who has almost more of a love of cars than I do. She's the one saying "lets get one of these and restore them". She's the first every year to say "the car show is coming", I guess I'm lucky. :)

I guess most women who are not "into" cars would not understand the value of vintage cars, perhaps you could compare them to her with vintage clothes...hard to find, but well worth it. Also, cars are not in the class of the "living" so, to most women, they are not as important as the intangible things in life.

not really sure but maybe because they think you spend to much time on the cars and not enought on them or thats all you care about.. or umm they might not want you to fix a car because to much work and migh lead to more problems
