More is less because it's too much and less is more because it's just enough.

It's all about the old saying, "Too much of a good thing." Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. So that means that less is more and more is less.

If both get the job done, then more is less and less is more.

More means more cost, more complexity, more to manage, more confusion...

Less means cheaper, simpler, easier, clearer...

For example why say something with 100 words when 10 will do the job? Fewer is better, "less is more."

More is less because you value more what you have less of. For example, if there is a child in Africa with only one toy: a Teddy Bear, then she will value it and her family so much more than if she had many toys. The fewer things have greater meanings.

Needing less to be satisfied, increases the likely hood of being satisfied. The more you need the less often you will have it.
