They won't work on what?

You might have animation turned off if you are using Mozilla or Internet explorer, go into options and change animation to on, or if you have Zone Alarm you have to click allow animated objects. Most likely though its IE or Mozilla

I am assuming you mean emoticons... it seems you can turn them off somewhere... maybe that is it.. and also you need flash or java or something I believe... I'm no expert though.. hope you get better answers than mine... :)
