I was at the national gun show this weekend where I saw a large number of vintage Nazi uniforms. Although it pains me to admit this as a veteran of the current war in Iraq, I couldn’t help but notice that the Nazi uniforms looks quite sharp and impressive. It seems that with the Germans, the more evil they were, the better they dressed (e.g. the SS). Why is it that the bad guys so frequently have such good fashion sense? Is evil directly proportional to style?

Bad guys are all about demanding respect and admiration since their actions don't earn any. They also need to have their egos stroked. Because of this, they need to play the part...carry big guns and then others of the law-breaking military type...

carry big guns and wear a spiffy uniform with lots of medals.

(Most of our men and women in the military are not like this. Their actions and behavior earn them respect in and out of uniform.)

You can look like crap if you're the good guy (you have an excuse), but if you're the bad guy, you must get your wardrobe game up. In the future, here's the minimum standard: look bad, do good; look good, do bad.
