Very, very small chance. On average, only one in 60 woman will die while giving birth. You'll be fine.

I know that it must be hard being that young and getting ready to have a baby. I know that you must be very scared and also be very happy at times. The chance of something going wrong is possible but most likely nothing will happen and everything will go perfect. If it were me i would just try to be as calm as possible and just pray that everything will go good!

Congrats. Having a baby at 19 is totally awesome, your body usually snaps back into shape real quick, you still have lots of energy to put towards your baby, and your baby will most likely turn out even healthier than all those late baby boomers. And one thing someone told me is, the kids will be out of the house by time your 40, Early retirement baby. Have fun girl, motherhood is the BEST!!

I don't have specific stats on this or anything but I'm sure you will both be fine. Women have babies every day, some without the help of a hospital and nurses/doctors. As long as you have taken care of yourself during your pregnancy, you shouldn't have any major complications. Granted, there are always things that are out of your control but you will make yourself sick worrying about things you can't do anything about. So just relax, take care of yourself, listen to your nurses and doctors. If anything, your young age should make it easier for you to recover from childbirth.

I'm 19 and 6 months pregnant! First, congratulations!!! =]

And second, yours and your baby's chances are more than likely very slim. my aunt had a child when she was 14-15 yrs old and that was 13 years ago. her and her son survived and my mother had twins at 18.

You'll be fine. Embrace the last moments of having your child inside of you!!! Good Luck and again, congratulations.

it is low, the numbers of babies dying in the canal are decreasing so just relax and hope for the best if you are more concerned talk to your family doctor about the chances of the baby having a defect at birth.

That type of question would be best answered by a physician. In this type of forum, you're going to either hear horror stories or great stories. Neither will give you a realistic depiction of the chances of something going wrong.

The chances are very low for you. For your baby there high if you do drugs, drink, dont get proper care while pregnant, smoke, etc. If you smoke cigerattes while pregnant you are risking having a still born baby, a small baby etc. To ensure your baby is born healthy dont smoke, drink, do drugs, see your doctor every month, etc. If you do all these things your babies risks are low too.
