love the sandwich, not the tartar sauce.

get it with mayo instead.

add cheese if you like.

Filet o'fish does not have substantial fish taste and the tartar sauce is bland and sometimes there is too much of a sauce to fish ratio. As fish goes, this option is questionable. I don't know if they will add cheese to it, but I'm thinking that might make it taste even less palatable. It might be good for you if you leave off the bun, scrape away the sauce and substitute ketchup.

Yes, it's good, and you must have the tartar sauce with it.

But here's the trick in ordering one: typically, McD's (like most other fast food joints) will pre-prepare the sandwiches which then sit under a hot light until sold. With fish, you really want it to be as fresh as possible. So you order one with special instructions, like no cheese or tartar sauce on the side. Then they have to special-order one for you, making it on the spot as opposed to 1-2 hours before.

Don't tell anyone I told you...

I personally think its way too greasy, and not worth the price. It tastes wose than van dekamp fish sticks.

I like it. I will agree that it is way too greasy, but isn't all of their food? That's just the way McDonald's is.

I love them. Greasy fishy goodness. I also don't eat them (or any McDonalds) very often.
