Hi everyone

I have recommended a friend of mine to my manager.

He interviewed her 3 weeks ago, he is now on holiday for a week and not back until the Easter Break.

My manager has since interviewed someone else last week Thursday and she started today, Monday.

My friend keeps texting me, asking for the managers email address, she does not seem to care that he is on holiday.. abroad with his family.

She has also asked for his mobile number, next she will be asking for his home address!!

She is really persistent and acting like I have the control and the power to give her the job,.

I personally think, the manager is not interested but because she is my friend he does not know how to tell me.

She is texting me every 5 minutes literally, asking me to put in a good word for her and she is stressing out!

What do you guys think??

Have a word with your HR Department and ask them to send the 'Dear Jane, Sorry you were not successful, the position has now been filled' letter.

You could also text back with something like 'I have no ability to influence the final selection and I am sorry to say I have just heard that some-one else has been chosen'
