The only thing we search for is happiness, that's our goal of everything. And I believe that everything in this world is objects and stuff for us to teach us find it and I don't know what's happening to me , I find everything worthless and everything we do just leads to the feeling of happiness and nothing more. Why was I born and why are there an existence, it makes me anxious about everything. I believe it won't get better if I just keep pondering all the time, It even get worse. I ponder too much, I really do - maybe because I'm sixteen and a half. I have - as it feels - a whole life on my shoulders. Feels like I have to go thorugh a life and the goal is death. Okay I never thought like this before, so i feel really weird. And I'm afraid to be old. Please adice how I can find life wortful and stop find death as a goal and that everything is worthless cuz we only want to be happy. How can i stop think so much, it makes me really mad !??

4 suggestions

#1- - consider what your feeling & be open to the possibility that your notion of "everything in this world ...." needs to be adjusted.

As for thinking too much - I can certainly say that if you do not have an active activity that you like - - - say :tennis: (as an active activity that you have to exert your physical body upon) then try a few things and pick one as soon as possible. this brings up suggestion #2

#2 - - seek a balance: I assure that all of us that sit around all day and ponder on why there is existence and what is it - - without doing things we enjoy in this existence brings anxiety - - - so try to have some fun.

#3 pat yourself on the back for asking the big and important questions early - - - 16 ? and thinking about this stuff ??? good for you !!!!!

#4 - - at your school or a free clinic talk with a professional counselor about anything that has been sad for you in your life to work through possible unresolved issues.

Firstly I love the name Hanna. The question was badly written bit I think if you take a step back and try to identify what the probelms are maybe write them down. Write down the ones you can change. There is no need to worry about what you can't change.
Also a list of short term goals would be good and the dying would be on the list of long term goals for the year 2100.
I am sure you have heard the saying a health body is a health mind, I find that so true. Excercise, take a long walk and you will feel better or skip that is a great excercise, I can't skip to save my life but after taking my dog for a 1 hour or longer walk I fell good and so does she.

This life we are in is a dream and we are looking for happiness and satisfaction. The God has created us and that too is an illusion or dream in true words (because this world around is a dream spanning our so called life time). What matter we see in this world is due to Time and space which are the concepts of this world but as per vedas there is no time and space concept at all. It is through MAAYA what we see in this world. Actual truth is oneness with GOD, NATURE OR ALMIGHTY whatever you may want to call it. Time & Space is therefore a concept with this physical body and not with the Soul, God or Truth....which is nothing but eternal peace..or AKHAND ANAND or oneness with that Supreme!!

We don't die (never!!) We just change our bodies. Our soul and supersoul (God) are one.

God is not something to be seen, it is something to be felt within....and that is the eternal bliss!!!!!

(It is great that at this younger age you have thoughts which few grown ups don't even think of. Infact this is the starting point of journey to unravel the mystery of this life and how strange it is. We never chose this life on our own, some one gave us this life...isn't it strange!!)

Maybe you are a little too concerned about things that aren't even in your power. That's why we call it faith, blind faith to be specific.
But if you weren't having SOME of these concerns you wouldn't be growing up. You are right about death It is the end to all means isn't it. LOL well what are you going to do about it? You can pray for everlasting life (heaven) and you can help make the world a wonderful place to be , You have life. you can do whatever you want to with it. So get ready to set your goals high. make good money and buy a boat and go sailing!
16(and 1/2) is very young to feel the whole world is on just your shoulders. There are many other people on this Earth to help you do that. You just be in charge of you right now.
as you grow up you can be in charge of more but right now...Let the rest of us take care of you, and you will do just fine. Have a fun life !!

you can stop thinking those weird thoughts by taking your focus off of yourself and start thinking of others. because you go into so much detail about self, it sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands. the hardest thing to learn when we are young, is that we are not the center of the universe and the world actually doesn't revolve around us. you have a purpose and that purpose is to make a difference for someone else. i am not going to make any recommendations for charity work you can do or what worthy cause you can join - that is your decision...the world is full of need and what would be awesome is if some of us would stop being needy and start meeting needs. somewhere a senior citizen is lonely because her family doesn't love her anymore, somewhere a single mom is worried because her kids are sitting at home alone while she works two jobs...imagine if your mind were filled with love and concern for people like these...thoughts of death would never, ever occur to you!

you might not realize it now but you are still very young. some questions you pose we will never know, like why are we here? i can only offer this advice-
realize this moment as a blessing, this fleeting time here now while we are alive, celebrate the chance to be here and enjoy your experience. take the good with the bad - sometimes life can be harsh, unfair, and hostile.
the goal of life is not death. death is just the end of your body's life. your spirit will shine on. i don't know what the goal of life is, maybe its for each of us to lift up others in our lives so we can make life comfortable and enjoyable for one another.

There is nothing wrong with happiness in life being your gaol. That's what most of us strive for...a happy life. We are all going to die one day, but if you spend your life dwelling on death, you've wasted so many good days, good times and the simple joys that are in life. Look at life as an adventure. At your age, you have so much to look forward to. Don't fill your mind with negative thoughts. Think of your future as an exciting new experience to look forward to. Enjoy each day and live your life to the fullest. Death isn't the end. Our bodies may die but our souls and our spirits live on. Be happy and enjoy your youth. Getting older is nothing to fear. You actually become more comfortable with yourself and your life the older you get. Life gets better and more interesting with each new year. Live your life and have fun.

You need to believe in something greater than yourself. Put all that energy in to prayer. The goal is not death, it's the after-life. Eternity is a long time. Prepare for it.

It sounds like you're depressed and possibly suffering from a chemical imbalance. You should go see your doctor and tell her this. If you can't get to the doctor, speak to the school nurse or your counselor at school. Tell them what you wrote here.

If you have a chemical imbalance, it could be that medication will help you a great deal. For some people it makes a HUGE difference. No point in feeling so badly if you don't have to. Go get checked out and take back your life! Good luck.

I think you need to sit down and really think about what you want to do with your life. Talk to a friend or a parent or an adult about what you are feeling. Think about what you have done in this world, and how it helped it. You could also write a story that deals with these questions and decide how you want your charactor to deal with them.
