After the State Dept safely got the hostages out. Why did Raygun do nothing.
I understand the concern Iran would murder the hostages. But once they were free a little TIT for TAT would have been OK with this liberal.
Now Iran feels they can get away with what ever they like.

Apparently you must have Alzheimer's if you think that Carter freed the hostages. Reagan's Alzheimer's did not appear until long after his presidency.

Actually, Carter didn't free the hostages. Iran freed them after Reagan was elected. Reagan graciously allowed Carter to fly over and welcome the hostages home. I believe Iran realized that Reagan wouldn't put up with any crap.
