One of the books is the first edition of Marvel (number 1) and Vampirella (number 1 1965). There are also a lot more Marvel and various other comic books.
I have in the collection Battle picture library, war picture library and a few commando books, some are dated as far back as 1958 upto 1965. I am only wanting serious answers please as they hold alot of sentimental value. Thank you.

In my opinion you should get a Comic Price Guide. OVERSTREET's a good name to look out for. This is so you'll have a rough Idea how much your comics are worth so you can then get a better deal from the a comic shop. As far as I know the big comic shops like Forbidden Planet do not take in back issues. Best look in your yellow pages for local comic book stores then go around there with a list of the issue numbers to see if they would be interested.

This give you a chance to get a rough impression of the shop and the people who run it. Some care about comics and profit while others purely care about the cash.

it's best you know what the comics you have are worth before selling them. Hope this was helpful.

I'm a bookseller, so I would go to a really good comic bookstore, and bring some of your collection, and see if they can appraise them, and find out how much they're worth. I bet they are worth a LOT. Just try to find a good comic book store that specializes in collectible comic books, and have your collection appraised.

Depends where you live. Check the web for comic shops near to you they will price them up based on their state. Another way is to buy a magazine called Wizard they have a section devoted to pricing. US comics only though.
