Is an oil slick a sea creature? That's my first pick.
If I can't have that, I choose plankton because of the obvious similarity of intellect.

I have to say Georgie would be a turtle. Have you ever noticed when he talks, it sort of looks like he has no neck, and then you will slowly start to see it, and then he'll tuck his head back in and its gone? That was the first thing I noticed when I watch him talk on TV... You know what I mean?
