As long as they're trying hard to express themselves in English, I'm very patient, especially if I know they are new in the country and they have the drive and ambition to learn the language. I even try to help teach the English language. I have no patience for those who have been here for a long time and don't want to learn the language and expect you to know how to speak their language.

I'm very patient. My neighbor doesn't speak english well at all. She has lived in this building for 9 years, and she says we are the first neighbors to be friends with her. We invite her and her daughter (who is the same age as our son) over for all the holidays, since the Japanese don't celebrate too many of them, and they are often alone. I find her to be very nice, and interesting.

I try to be patient but if they just keep on and nothing is getting solved then I feel like telling them to learn our language if they are going to be living in my country

I'm patient to a point, I do get rude when it starts being ridiculous.

If they are really trying then I am patient, but if they do not care one way or the other whether you understand them or not then I am less understanding and get upset.

Patient, But it's easier when they realize that you have a hard time understanding them.
