How can a person claim to be Christian and preach a message of hate? True Christians know that God loves all of us and only God has the right to decide what he considers a sin. Just because man says something is wrong doesn't mean that it's wrong in the eyes of God!

just to let you know; I'm married (to a man), have 2 kids, and also a Christian. I just want to get the point across that I believe that everyone is the same in the eyes of God!

If you don't agree with me then do you think that God is hateful? If you don't agree with my statement then you obviously do think that God is hateful, which shows that you are are hateful, which then shows that you don't follow the one true God!

The point is, a Christian is not being "Christ-like" by spewing hatred. Understand that in every 'category' that mankind comes up with, there are hypocrites (or fake 'members'); you can't hold ALL members responsible because of a few bad eggs that get most of the publicity.

Christ said that He was not sent here to judge the world. Therefore, Christians are NOT to judge - which is exactly what we are all doing, are we not?

The Christian's role is to love all of God's creatures, and God's role is to do the judging. When a Christian sees that a fellow brother/sister in Christ is stumbling, then it is their responsibility to bring that brethren back into the fold - back to proper alignment with God.

So, as the Bible says: (a)
" And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

So, as much as you are critical of those who spout off that they are Christians, bear in mind that in America and a few other countries, freedom of religion is such that many falsely claim association with Christianity because it currently is an easy thing to claim without repercussions. If a sudden swell of death to Christians were to occur tomorrow, then the goats would most certainly be separated from the sheep, and many of those you criticize would be found out. But unless you can see into their hearts, for now, just love them, pray for them, and if you have contact with some of these people, then it is your responsibility to speak with them and make them aware of their erroneous ways.

Please hear my answer in the context by which it was offered; with love and concern.

I am a "real" christian and I agree with you. Many people judge and dont have the audacity to judge anyone. They need to leave that to the Big man. So all i can say is, I can pray fpr those people who are that way. Good luck in what you do hun. And turn a shoulder to this and confide into someone you trust who is a christian, dont have one of those? Im always here!

You are absolutely right. We cannot make of ourselves gods. Only the true God can say what is and is not sin - so we MUST go by what is in the Bible, and stop making up our own rules as we go along. People who do that are fake Christians.

Right on! I agree 100% !

Peace!

p.s. Did you see that programme on the television last night about the extremist christian family in America who picketed at a dead soldier's funeral against soldiers and in their own words, 'fags'
They believed that only them are leading the right path and only they will go to heaven and they believe that God hates America.

Jesus wasn't big on hate, but instead taught love and tolerance, especially to those shunned by society. If Christianity is indeed based on his teachings, makes you wonder how they can call themselves that by spreading hate and mistrust. There is one figure in the Bible that was into hate and making people suffer though, maybe that's who they are really working for?
