I grew up on a stick shift. A 1950 Ford, flathead 6 truck, with a floor shift. That thing would get rubber in first and second gears and it only had three. Heck, I thought I was Jeff Gordon. Oh, the good old days.

Of course. Of that age. Grew up with a 3 on the tree; graduated to a 4/5 and eventually 6 on the floor.

Yes, I do - my truck has a stick shift, though the cars are automatic.
In the UK, I've rented stick shift cars & driven them, though it takes a little while to get used to shifting with the LEFT hand!

I learned on a three speed on the column and later a five speed on the floor. Shifting is cool, but been there and done that.

It's been a while, but I can still drive a stick shift. I prefer stick shift in bad weather!
