Honey, as the "Queen" of my own world, my advice is for you to follow your own instincts, set your own style and never bow down to so-called "fashion police". Have fun with who you are and display it with what you wear! Jo Ann, Project One Fifty

I have to agree with the others. Thin is in. I have made a similar scarf for my son (who's almost 5 fee tall) and I only made it 3 feet instead of 6.

Personally I like the thinner scarf than the big bulky one. I had gotten the pattern off of the net (sorry can't recall the site) but it was on a blog and the persons own design.

Inconclusion its a person progative to make things how they wish to wear them.

Good luck!

You should probably repost this in "Fashion & Accessories" (under "Beauty & Style"). There are lots of knitters & crocheters here in "Hobbies & Crafts" who will all say "Hogwarts scarves? Of course!"

But you want to know if they're OK to wear. (And if you make the subject line of your question something like "Harry Potter scarf -- fashion do or don't?" or "Harry Potter scarves -- opinions?" and add all the other info below, I'm sure you'll get dozens of replies.)

PS. If you want to make your own, here are some patterns.

Yes, thin scarves are still in, and those will suit the current Harry Potter craze. Also, the school look never goes out of style!

They look like Hogswart scarves from Harry Potter!! Very cool (and fun to make!)... just don't get to be like Mrs Weasley

Depends on the venue. I wouldn't suggest it for a black tie affair, but scarves are in and I think it would be fine.
