If you had consulted any quality news source you would have found that Obama voted against the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act because it "was worded in a way that unconstitutionally threatened a woman's right to abortion by defining the fetus as a child."

""It would essentially bar abortions because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this was a child then this would be an anti-abortion statute," Obama said in the Senate's debate in March 2001."

You need someone from Belgium to explain this to you?

because saving babies that survived abortion would be undermining the whole purpose of the abortion in the first place! If a mother can't care for a child [because of no money, health problems, etc] then why would she be able to provide any more AFTER a failed abortion? This may seem cruel to you, but if Obama supported it, he would appear indecisive and two-faced. Yo have to pick a side and stick to it.

First of all, it's not a wice decision to say something like this because thousands of pro-choice people will come on here with rebuttals. Yahoo Answers is not for stuff like this, you're just looking for a debate.

(On my personal standards I'm pro-life though)
