if you have.. can you honestly say we can't heat our planet.. there is a reason global warming is often referred to as the green house effect after all.

volcanoes = part of the natural cycle

SUV's = man made.

I don't care about stopping what is natural.. but we should do our part to clean up our own mess.

yup.. went to school for ME but thanks for asking.

and at the current rates the next doubling is between 2050-2100. maybe that's a long time for you.. but I'd rather not have my children find out what effects it can have... maybe none.. maybe mass climate change and starvation.. it's a gamble and one I'm not willing to take.

Haha. You're using the concept of a green house as a fact about global warming? What a brilliant deduction. If only it was rational.

If this complete farce of an issue was actually logical, more people would use their brain and figure out that it's caused by the sun. Not us.

"glass has different properties than gas. but it's still an easily measurable formula.. you know.. the type of thing chemists do every day.. for every doubling of the level of CO2 in the atmosphere the global temperature will go up by 5 degrees F... it's simple math and chemistry. "

Under what parameters and what conditions? Is the fluid media moving? What heat sources should you include in your calculations and which ones can you consider negligable? Over what surface boundary conditions are you going to use to set up your formula? For what volume of mass are you measuring the heat capacity? How many data points will you take and what is the random and calculated error of those measurements? How well can the model be compared on a global scale?

5 degrees F for every doubling of CO2 would mean we are safe for quite some time, expecially since most of these "formulas" only account for a steady state atmosphere and when compared to the real thing are absolutely worthless.

But hey I've taken real courses in heat transfer and fluid mechanics... how about you?

Gas and Glass are two different materials.

Have you ever heard of the boy who cried wolf?

Ice Age- gave way to acid rain
Acid Rain-Suddenly not an issue
Dying seal populations-turned out to be from saving Orcas
Old growth vs new growth-bio mass is the same
2006 Hurricanes- never happend
Bird flu- nothing happened
Monkey pox- nothing happend

Global warming- ?????

Have you ever stood in a Volcano. Talk about heating the planet. Don't get it. Are we encasing the planet in glass now, or are we banning the building of all green houses. When did science stop being facts, and start being a consensus?

Not recently. I worry about plant allergies and insect bites. Plus, it's always so humid and sticky.

I would have thought that after Bush said it was a problem, they would fall into line. Now I realize they get their orders from Fox, and not Bush.

I must of missed that glass dome in the sky. When did we build it?

You waste your breath. American adults don't learn about science anymore. They watch sports and American Idol.
