Well, my favorite series would have to be Star Trek TNG. My favorite regular character was Worf (I loved his one liners...) My favorite recurring character would have to be "Q".
Anway... favorite epsiode... geez, I don't know if I can only pick one... So I'm not, I'll give you my two favorite!
They are "The Inner Light" (Episode 525) and "Yesterday's Enterprise" (Episode 315). For totally different reasons.
"The Inner Light" was the one where a probe the Enterprise finds locks onto Picard and over the course of less than a 1/2 hour, Picards memory is infused with living a lifetime on a planet that's been dead for a thousand years. This episode won the 1993 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation. The award was given at the World Science Fiction Convention in San Francisco. "The Inner Light" was the first television program to be so honored since 1968's Star Trek episode "The City on the Edge of Forever".
"Yesterday's Enterprise" was also very cool. I always love a good space battle! It was a neat way to bring back Tasha for one episode too. Although the resulting episodes with Denise Crosby as a Romulan were kind of weak.
Those are my 2 picks!

In the original series (1966-1969), my favorite episode is "May That Be Your Last Battlefield". At least I think was the title, perhaps a Trekkie can correct me.
In the TNG, there are many so many great episodes. But the one that stays in my mind the most is when Data produces (if that is the right word) a daughter. I don't remember the name of that episode; need help again from another Trekkie.
Data is my favorite character in all the series. I also know that I am not the only one with this viewpoint.

A particular favorite of mine is from Enterprise, "Through a Mirror, Darkly", 2 parts. The alternate universe theme had been used in the other series but this version was, IMHO, the best.

Deep Space Nine. My favorite all time episode is the one where they play baseball! It's the most timeless sport ever! And it was cool to see a series where the good guy doesn't always win.

Yesterday's Enterprise from ST:TNG. Each time I watch it, I get sad. Even though I know the ship had to go back, just knowing that they faced certain death bummed me out.
Data was, is and will alway be my favorite ST character. He's perfect!

STTNG "Time's Arrow" mainly because of Samuel Clemens immediately followed by "Cause and Effect." That's the one where the Enterprise keeps blowing up. Oooh and lets not forget "Q Who" "Deja Q" "Q-pid". Pretty much anything with Q since he was my favorite character.

In the original S/T, it was "The Trouble With Tribbles". In SNG it was the one where Worf is coming back from a tournament and keeps going throug different realities. And in one of the realities, the Borg had won and Riker said they weren't going back to their own world.
