You must live in a dry climate. Static electricity is very common when it is dry out and cool too. You could try not wearing socks in the house, not dragging your feet, even running a humidifier to moiston the air a bit.

Don't drag your feet on the floor, and don't wear things that collect a lot of static. Also, use a good dryer sheet, and try to keep some moisture in the air at home.

Do you mean like static electricity shock? If so, its probably too dry in your house. Try a cool mist humidifier.
