Well, you should be able to trust him, unless he's violated that trust before.
Unfortunately, it's a bit of a conundrum. If you have total trust and honesty with each other, you'd know. However, if that were the case, it's very unlikely that he'd have an affair to begin with.

First of all what makes you think he is/had an affair? I assume you have already said something to him about it for him to tell you that it hurts him.

I knew my ex-husband was having one. I just knew. We worked together and he'd always send me home early despite me offering to help clean up so WE could go home sooner. There was this 18 year old girl who would always come in and just sit for a few hours waiting. When he and I would go out to play darts, she appeared. When I did leave work, she was at her mother's flower shop across the street at 11:30 p.m. "working".
I mean please, it all adds up. I kicked him out and started the divorce. I had to drive home from work past his new place. Her car was always there. I mean really, women's intuition does mean something.

Don't look for clues or you will see them everywhere. Try asking him. If you know your husband you will know that something is going on. And the fact that you are asking this question. Well it is a sign that you think yours is. Good luck and God bless****

Well it may hurt him but I am sure it also hurts you. Sometimes you have to let it go until you have solid evidience.
