no one can tell you the do's and don'ts because every one is different in there preganancy. you need toy see you ob and she will let you know what to do we can give you some advice 1 if you smoke then stop 2 no heavy lifting 3 try some light exercising. i never had morning sickness but you might i didn't like home cooked meals, didn't like barbraque, was tired all the time, these are some of the things i went through in my first month and you might not go through any of them so i say if you don't smoke then keep doing what your doing untill your doctor say's otherwise

You're first trimester (three months) is usually the roughest as far as no's. You're not supposed to drink caffeine or take any unnecessary prescriptions (you can consult your doctor about that.) You're not supposed to be lifting heavy things, or getting your hair colored.
As far as do's, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. That's about 64-80 oz. Your baby needs for you to stay hydrated to provide a stable environment for him to grow. You should get plenty of rest right now, and you'll most likely be very tired for the first few months. Try some light exercise daily, but nothing strenuous.
Good luck! There is a list of foods you should and should not eat that you can readily find on the internet.

Don't lift anything over 25 pounds, cut back to no more than 3 servings of caffeine a day. Read all over the counter meds before taking them. Tylenol is safe, but really not much else. Cut back on salt, if you are having heartburn, eat frequent but smaller meals and drink lots of water. Of course do not smoke, use illegal drugs or drink alcohol. Congrats! I am pregnant with my 3rd. Good luck to you and the baby!

CONGRATULATIONS. You are now just as you were before except you have another life within you who you are going to be responsible for, for the next 16/18 years (in reality forever). But its GREAT and hopefully you will never regret it. First off your GP will make all the arrangements she will make appointments with your midwife and from then on she will be your best friend. But you are not ill, God forbid, carry on as you have always done except be more responsible. GOOD LUCK and let us know what the outcome is.

Speak to a doctor to confirm the pregnancy.
Start taking a prenatal vitamin
Start eating healthy and regularily to keep up your strength.
If you are...don't take ibuprofen, aspirin, or any over the counter cold meds (tylenol regular strength is okay if necessary...I needed to for the severe headaches)

Docs won't see you until you're about 8 weeks.
don't eat any soft rind on cheese or blue vein cheeses throughout the pregnancy. don't eat black/green potatoes either as they can all be harmful for baby.
congratulations anyway, there are lots of things and the best thing i can suggest is for you to log onto www.babycentre.co.uk and join up, they will be able to give you a list of what you can and can't eat, what to avoid etc.

Make a doctors appt. If you are pregnant you will need to start taking prenatal vitamins. Don't smoke, please. it just kills me to see pregnant women smoke. It doesn't matter if someone else you know smoked during their pregnancy and it didn't seem to have affected their baby.It can cause serious problems. Most importantly it could cause a miscarriage. Take this time to think about what a good mom you are going to be. Eat healthy. Everything you do the baby does.Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
