There chances aren't good. But then again, chances for any team still has to beat the odds. The east match ups are getting pretty firm.
If they face Jersey in the first round, it would be a tough match. I think it would be close, but think they would be out. If they won this match, it is their best chance, as they are likely to get a soft second round match up.
If they face Pittsburgh, Ottawa will win but then most likely to face Buffalo in the second round. I think they would be out. Second likely round 2 match up is Jersey.
EdIT: Hold everything!! Jersey just fired their head coach. That is enough to change the outcome of a series against them. If Ottawa gets them first round - Ottawa in 7.

I think the sens have a great chance, and the most depth out of any NHL team. This is why they won't collapse this year.
the sens have there top three guys from last year back (Spezza, Heatley, Alfredsson) with each having a great year again, but this year they have more motivation, after that horrible series against Buffalo last year, and I think they will do much better this year in the the playoffs with that on their shoulders.
and the rest of the offense has gotten much better from last year. Fisher, Schaefer, Vermette, and Kelly have all improved their numbers from last year in some way, and pick ups like, McAmmond, and Comrie have proved to provide a great amount of depth at the forward positions, and with Saprykin add as well, I think he could step up if anyone goes down in the playoffs.
The Defense is very solid as well, Preissing and Corvo, have been good so far, with Preissing Competing for the plus/minus title. Philips and Volchenkov have also done well this year, and are right behind Preissing for plus/minus. The only Questions are, can Redden stay healthy, and can Meszaros pick it up in the playoffs, he probably had the worst year out of all the sens.
As for goalies, Emery will do better this year now that he has some playoff experience, but if not I think Gerber can step in and save them if they need it.
So i think they have a great chance, but we'll see. And they are 17-3-6 in their last 26 so they will be going into the playoffs HOT!

They have a decent chance of getting to the Stanley Cup Finals. However, the winner will come out of the West. So Sorry.

I love Pens fans that say Ottawa has no goaltending. At least our two goaltenders have playoff experience.
With a young team like Pittsburgh, you really think they can stand the pressure? Fleury is definitely no savior. You're lucky you guys got Roberts.

Its possible, I don't think they can beat the Pens in the first round... but there is still a chance they won't be facing the Penguins.
I would say they have a decent chance of winning it

They could - they definatly have the power to do so, but they wont' get through to the final - unless by fluke Buffalo or NJ get eliminated in the first round.

They'll collapse. At least, they will if they have to play the Pens and Mighty Sid in the first round.

They will collapse, they dont have the goal-tending needed to win the cup.

No, the don't have much of a chance this year, I'm afraid.
Looks like Buffalo has the best chance. :(
