Boxer shorts. At least, because the correct way to retire a worn out and used American flag is to burn it, burning in and of itself is not bad.
The reason for wearing flag shorts or burning the flag may make a difference in some minds. How do you know that one of the flag burning demonstrators isn't wearing a pair of flag shorts under their clothes?
It is not a simple question to answer.

The flag is a symbol. I'd rather see a mountain of flags burned than give up any of our constitutionally protected liberties.
I have another question. What offended people more, Janet Jackson's boob popping out a couple of years ago at the Superbowl or the singer wearing the American flag as a poncho?

Burning---because why the hell would you burn an American flag if you didn't mean it offensively? Someone could just wear American flag boxer shorts because it's cute.

Well, the only times in my life I've ever burned a flag was when disposing of one that was tattered or soiled, and I would never wear the Flag on my a**,so I would have to go with the boxer shorts, along with panties,mini-skirts and other such idiocy I've seen.

Burning is worse but they are both bad. We're getting way too liberal with the flag desecration with the way it's put on clothing and other things.

The boxer shorts are not the American flag. They are boxers which are imprinted with stars and stripes. They were never a flag.

I'd have to say burning the flag itself. People wear clothing with the flag displayed on it all of the time, that doesn't make it a flag.

Burning. Clothing made with the Flag print are not an actual flag.
Or we could say it depends on the person wearing the boxers....jk :)

I'm not offended by either, but you would think that using the flag as underwear would be pretty offensive to those who get offended by flag burning.
