I'm a big fan of the Friday the 13th series.
I also like Freddy movies, Halloween, Scream was ok, Saw is great, The Descent, Rosemary's Baby
for some reason though, I cannot watch the Exorcist, I get too scared.

My favorite "modern" movie is the saw series, I think they do a good balance of blood and suspense. I have never cared for movies that are all blood and screaming. My favorite "classic" scary movie is The Nightmare on Elm St. Series (Freddy Kugar)

Practically anything related to a Steven King book, lol.
The Hills Have Eyes, the Saw series, I think The Messengers (2007) looks really scary, but I never got around to seeing it.
