Unless you club them with a rubber mallet, they are going to keep wandering off. And then you'll never get them in a row. I always keep my ducks in a row using this method.

(Beware of)
DUCKS IN A ROW
Seeing ducks in a row,
Made a young boy row,
Trying to catch them for dinner.
So excited was he that he lost his oar,
Now he's up the creek without a paddle,
So he's sure to get a lot thinner.
