Ok, World of Warcraft is a MMOPRG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) you must be online at all times when you are playing it. If you lose connection while you are playing, the game will drop you.

WoW is a role playing game. You take control of a single character, which you guide through the world, beating up monsters and completing quests to improve your character...So you can beat up bigger monsters and take harder quests.

WoW does not really have and in-game plot, and there is no real end-goal. You basically can keep playing with a character as long as you like. Eventually your character will hit all the caps and won't get any stronger. You can then start a new character, and take your old one out every once in a while to fight other players, or do some high-level stuff for fun.

The game can be very complicated, but they have tried to simplify the start as much as possible. Your new character starts with very few abilities, and they get more as you progress. So your character gets more and more complicated as you level up and buy new abilities. Reading the manual is an ABSOLUTE must; about half the WoW questions on this board are questions already answered in the manual.

In WoW you can also work with other people. Either joining them in their, or your, quests; or competing against them and defeating them for the glory of your facion.

Please note that WoW require that you not only buy the software, but pay a monthly fee for as long as you want to play. That monthly fee can be paid in several different ways, including by credit card, or a game card you can buy from some shops.

If your internet connection is really unstable, or really slow, I wouldn't really bother. As I said earlier, WoW needs a connection all the time you are playing it or it will stop. WoW was designed to work with slower connections, but the game will lag a bit when a lot is going on. That could be fatal to your character, since many things you have to do to battle in WoW require split second decisions.

It's a pretty fun MMORPG, massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. You can only play online and it costs between $12-$15 a month to play. Your goal is level higher, by questing and killing "mobs"
